Who is this?

Continuing on in this search for joy has been eye-opening for me. I thought I knew all about myself but realized along the way that I didn't. Writing about these things has brought into focus certain aspects of myself that maybe wouldn't have been so clear had I just left these thoughts in my head.
For instance, I am way too giddy over the prospect of taking inventory in a couple of weeks. For some reason I really enjoy helping count every piece of merchandise in our stores and storage areas. I admit this is kind of nerdy, but there it is. Maybe I enjoy the break from routine, of not having to wear my uniform while doing it, and also not having to worry about operating the store. I also like to use the little counting guns they give us.  So I suppose that is my joy for the day, although I learned about a remarkable woman in ancient history on this program I watched last night.
Queen Boudicca had inherited Britain from her husband when he died. However, at this time the Romans were trying to make Britain a part of the Roman empire and the emperor at the time did not like that there was a woman on the throne. So he came in and took over. When Boudicca objected, he had her flogged and her daughters raped. So Boudicca gathered up an enormous army (some estimates claim a quarter of a million men) and took the Romans on. She eventually lost, but I thought that was quite an amazing story. The only woman I remember reading about being in combat was Joan of Arc. Boudicca became one of the most admired women on my list last night.
