Andy and I went and saw the new Pixar movie, Brave. As usual, Pixar did an awesome job. The background scenery was awesome....it was absolutely breathtaking, and essential to the story. The story is of a Scottish princess, Merida, who does not want to be forced into an arranged marriage, so she goes to a witch and has a spell made up that would change her mother. The spell works too well, as Merida's mother is changed into a bear. The second half of the movie shows them trying to get her back into human form. Really good movie, although my question was how does a man not realize that his wife and daughter are missing for a day and a half?

It was a good tale in being careful what you wish for. Have you ever stopped to consider how many times we wish things were different, ask God to change things, and then when He says yes, we wish we had thought a little more before we asked? We need to consider that what we want may not be what is best for us or for other people. I'm glad I got to see this movie...I don't go to the movies that often because there usually isn't anything worth paying that much money to see, but Pixar movies I will usually see. That's my joy for the day.
