Who is this?

I found another reason to be joyful. In Hebrews 6:17-19 reads: God also bound Himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that He would never change His mind. So God has given us both His promise and His oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to Him for refuge can take new courage, for we can hold on to His promise with confidence. This confidence is like a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain of heaven into God's inner sanctuary." (NLT)
Amen to that! We have every reason to expect that God will do what He says. He bound Himself with both an oath and a promise. God doesn't lie, so we can be completely confident that He means it. We have not earned this promise--if we could have earned it, we wouldn't have need of God. The thing that amazes me is that had Hitler repented of his sins and turned to Christ before he died, he would have been saved too. (I don't know for sure that he didn't turn to God, but I'm almost certain he didn't.) My human mind cannot comprehend God's saving grace, and that is how it should be. We shouldn't be the ones to decide who should get saved and who shouldn't. We are not God. And that's my joy for the day, that I'm not God!
