It was never intended to offend anyone and if someone's offended, then they ought to be g..d.....d mad at the federal government.This was supposed to be an apology for referring to the IRS as the Gestapo! Come on, governor!!! Could we at least use polite language when we're making a public statement??? As the apostle James wrote "..the tongue is a small thing, but what enormous damage it can do. A tiny spark can set a great forest on fire." (James 3:5, NLT) I'm sorry to use this as a bully pulpit, but it is really sickening when our elected leaders are swearing in public statements. I'm not thrilled with the federal government either, but I'm embarrassed by our governor, and kind of wish I hadn't voted for him. I'd rather not have voted for anyone at all at this point. I know his speech is constitutionally protected, and I'm thankful for that, but it is not wise or helpful. Thanks for hearing me out.
