For John the Baptist didn't drink wine and he often fasted, and you say, 'He's demon possessed.' And I, the Son of Man, feast and drink, and you say, 'He's a glutton and a drunkard, and a friend of the worst sort of sinners!' But wisdom is shown to be right by the lives of those who follow it. (Luke 7:33-35, NLT)It's interesting to me that Jesus' critics weren't happy with people who didn't drink and they weren't happy with Jesus, who feasted and drank wine. I notated in that section, 'you can't have it both ways! That passage also tells me that Jesus was a joyful person to be around (while in human form) and He still is today, though not present with us physically. A little further on in that chapter, at the home of the Pharisee, when the woman anointed Him with expensive perfume, Jesus forgave her sins. "The men at the table said among themselves, 'Who does this man think he is, going around forgiving sins?" (Luke 7:49) They obviously didn't know who Jesus was and is, or they wouldn't have asked that question. Never mind that He'd told them several times.

Who is Jesus?
In my Bible reading yesterday, (I usually read some Old Testament and New Testament) I came across this passage in Luke 7, where Jesus was criticizing the current generation,
