Another reason not to worry is found in Jeremiah 29:11-13:
'For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me.'Now, whose plans do I think are better: mine, or the Lord's? I'm working on getting to the point where my answer will truly be the Lord's. I mean, I know this all, have heard it from the time I was young, but the enemy is always looking for a way to sneak in. The Lord's plans may involve some pain, but in the long run they are better for us than our plans. Yes, our plans may get ruined, the worst may happen, but even if the situation is not okay, we will be okay because God is watching out for us, and His plan will come to fruition. He will not be thwarted, amen!
It was a timely lesson because I have been stressing out big time over this getting a new id for Andy in time for our trip to Florida. We had to order a copy of his birth certificate from Pennsylvania's vital stats office, and they still haven't mailed it. (I ordered it July 26th.) Once we have it, then we have to go back to the DMV and ask them to expedite the issuing of the id. We fly out on September 11th.
