I think I'm tired. Tonight one of my ear buds fell out of my ear, and when I went to put it back in I realized I had a Goldfish cracker. I tried to use the cracker as an ear bud. Nothing to do but laugh at myself there. Tonight I'm joyful that the Red Sox season mercifully ends tonight. It's been like ripping off a bandaid very slowly and painfully. Train wreck. My only regret is not being able to listen to Don and Jerry during the off season. Those guys really make the broadcasts funny, and Jerry knows quite a bit about baseball as well. Of course the Yankees are beating our woeful Red Sox right now, 3-1 thanks to a home run by Curtis Granderson. The Sox couldn't even muster up enough pride to at least play spoiler.(Actually I think they are going to play spoiler--to Baltimore, who I actually wanted to see win the AL East. They may not even make the postseason now, despite their great year).
A proverb I found interesting today: "Yanking a dog's ears is as foolish as interfering in someone else's argument." (Proverbs 26: 17) Interesting because the first thing it lists most people wouldn't think of doing, but the second part of that people do all the time. Wisdom is knowing when to stay our of things. Sometimes people think an argument is about them when it has nothing to do with them. The proverb was written that way to underscore how foolish involving ourselves in other people's arguments is. These proverbs are great because there is a lot of wisdom involving relationships and how to get along with people in life.
