I seem to have fallen into a pattern of only getting a post written every other day instead of every day. I'll try to do better, I promise. Several things I'm thankful for:
.) The sun. When it is out, everything just seems much better. I feel like I have more energy than on gray, cloudy days.
.) Having a warm place to lay my head at night. There's a debate currently going in Portland about what to do with the homeless. The chamber of commerce there wants to basically move them out of Portland because they're afraid it's going to drag down business. I understand that point, but the homeless aren't going to go away by brushing them aside. They have to go somewhere. It makes me glad that I have a roof over my head, and enough money to keep up the mortgage payments thus far. I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I know who holds my hand, and I'll be okay regardless of what happens. Even if the situation is not okay, I'm okay. I'm grateful for that knowledge.
.) Having reliable transportation. Every morning my car starts and I am able to get to work. I am able to run my husband into work in the evening. Thus we are able to earn money to pay our own way and not have to depend on the government for assistance.
.) My critters. I've probably mentioned them a time or two, but the daily dose of cute that I get with them makes me smile. They bring a lot of joy to my life, and I'm grateful for that. The more time we spend appreciating our pets, the better we feel, I think.
