Today I am thankful for the opportunity to share the love of God with family, who may not know Him well or at all. Yesterday, we (Andy and I) told this person that, even though the election may have been disappointing, we realized that God is still on the throne and that everything that happens is filtered through Him. Nothing happens that He doesn't allow. So today we got to church and we saw in the bulletin that the first hymn was "God is On the Throne". Coincidence? I don't think so. I pray that those words that we spoke will sink in.
I am also grateful for my husband. It's great when you have a silly husband if you are silly as well. I haven't been able to get the Muppets version of "Macho Man" out of my head last night since we watched the Muppet Show, and it cracks me up. Anyway, I kept singing it and Andy put up with it. It's great when you have a mate who understands the insanity. Love him dearly. God created us to depend on other people and not to try to go it alone, and I thank Him for that as well. He understands us much, much better than we do our selves.
